Paniate is one of Italy's leading online stores for early childhood, toys, school, garden, home and Christmas: over 30,000 products ready to ship. It isn't a marketplace but a single organisation that handles everything, from choosing the products to selling them, with tracked shipping, after-sales support and original spare parts.
From its headquarters in Asti, home to the offices, the central warehouse and the workshop, Paniate also runs seven stores across Piedmont and Liguria. For the sixth year in a row the site is in Corriere della Sera's Stelle dell'E-commerce ranking.
The new e-commerce had to carry a huge, seasonal catalogue, from Pokémon cards to Lemax villages, without losing speed, and tell what lies beyond the shop too: flyers, gift lists, fidelity card, events and stores.
I took care of design and development with a headless architecture: Astro for the frontend, BigCommerce for catalogue, cart and orders, Payload CMS for the editorial content. Category pages have filters built on the data of each line, like collection and year for Lemax, search is always at hand, and the brand's orange leads to deals and promotions, on desktop as on mobile.
