In via Po, Turin, since 1957: Orologeria Majer brings the finest watch brands online, with a four-year warranty and a club that rewards every purchase.
Majer is one of Turin's historic watch and jewellery stores: founded in 1957, it has always been at via Po 24, a landmark for watch lovers. In 2015 the shop was joined by the e-commerce, with the same idea of service: guiding customers through the choice of a model and looking after them before and after the purchase.
As an authorised dealer of brands such as Tissot, Hamilton, Mido, Seiko, Rado, Citizen and Eberhard & Co., Majer adds a two-year extra warranty to every product, free engravings on many models and the Club Majer, a points programme that turns purchases into discounts.
The new site had to bring the shop's expertise online: careful product pages, advice and a catalogue of over a thousand watches that's easy to explore.
I took care of design and development: an Astro frontend, catalogue and orders on BigCommerce, editorial content and blog on Payload CMS. The home opens with the brands' campaigns, the catalogues have filters made for people who know watches, from movement and water resistance to crystal and case diameter, and the lime yellow of the highlights draws the eye to new arrivals and deals. The historic pages kept their addresses, so as not to lose the ranking built over ten years of e-commerce.
