The project

Our wedding website and everything behind it: guest RSVPs, dietary needs, tables and suppliers in a single web app.

The Wedding App is the web app I built for my wedding, on 26 September 2025. For the guests it was the event's website: the countdown, the venue, the schedule of the day and the suppliers who made it possible.

Every invitation had its own credentials: once in, each family confirmed who was coming through a four-step guided wizard, with kids' menus, dietary preferences, allergies and intolerances and the need for a lift, and could change everything until the deadline.

The approach

Behind the scenes, the goal was a single place for guests, replies and tables, shared with everyone working on the event.

I built it with Laravel and Inertia, with React and Tailwind CSS for the site, GSAP animations and the data on MySQL. The admin panel, built with Filament, manages invitations, guests, tables and exports, and sent the emails with the credentials and the reminders. The table organizer lays the tables out on a map of the room and moves guests and groups from one table to another, with dietary needs always in sight. The wedding planner, photographer and caterer had their own access, and every confirmation sent us an email.

I build them for other couples too: here's how a custom wedding app works.
